Sump Pump

Sump Pumps are probably the single most important thing in the basement waterproofing scene. Everything seems to start there. They can keep the floor dry because water can pour in during a flood situation if the lid is not too tight or a drain is attached. Ground water can be lowered a couple feet near the sump which can’t hurt anything because that will take pressure off water coming up through the floor. The sump pump can be connected to drain pipes under the floor to really dry up the ground water. All that is a sure thing to help the basement or crawl space.

Unfortunately since these machines work so hard and do so many different kinds of jobs, they wear out and have to be replaced.  Here at Oakbridge Construction we can replace one for you if you need it. We like to use the 1/3 HP Zoeller cast Iron model. There are very reliable and long lasting. Since they are made of cast iron they are very quiet also.

So feel free to give us a call at 586 703 0112 if you want a new pump installed or just have a question. If you need the technical specs please go to our plumbing sump pump page and get details.
